I support Christine Smith to be the Libertarian Party nominee for President of the United States. Christine
is an articulate and a tireless advocate of Liberty. Her enthusiasm and energy are contagious and her ideas
are amazing. Our country and the Party needs a strong voice like hers spreading the message of freedom and
liberty. We have never needed such a strong voice of liberty and hope in our nation like we need now. Not
only do I hope she succeeds in gaining the nomination but that she is also able to restore this great
country back to its foundation of liberty. America needs Christine Smith and her leadership now more
then ever.

Andrew Gladstone, Musician and Libertarian since 2000 - 04-02-2008
Christine Smith gets my vote. There are issues she's even better than
Ron Paul on such as immigration and abortion. There are few candidates I
come in total agreement with, and she is one of them. She's a
constitutionalist that doesn't let religion influence her political
views. And I am proud to endorse Christine Smith as a Libertarian
Presidential candidate.
Andrew Gladstone
Darren Wolfe, Former Eastern Vice Chair, Libertarian Party of Pennsylvania - 03-30-2008
It is with great pleasure that I endorse Christine Smith for President. On all the issues she gets it right.
Whether it's ending the imperial adventures abroad, ending the income tax & abolishing the IRS, or restoring
liberty at home Miss Smith has taken the right positions.
Her tireless efforts are needed by the Libertarian Party. If the past is any guide, I look forward to the campaign
Miss Smith will (hopefully) run this fall.
Restore the Republic,
Darren Wolfe

Charlotte Bailey, - 3-26-2008
Christine Smith is a breath of fresh air in the stagnant world of
American politics. I joined the Libertarian Party in January after
years of searching for a political home. Like Mike Gravel, I was once a
Democrat but left because that party had abandoned its core values.
Christine Smith's campaign appealed to me immediately because she is
articulate and honest. She has the courage to take a stand on every
issue and to let the world know what that stand is. She has the courage
to speak up and tell her own party it needs to clean house so it can
continue to call itself the Party of Principle. That makes her a
Candidate of Principle in my book.
We need more candidates like Christine Smith!
Charlotte Bailey
Joel Zingone, - 3-22-2008
I support Christine Smith for President. An examination of her past
reveals passionate devotion to what she believes in. For causes
personal, humanitarian and political, she is a shining example of
Libertarian principles. She has become an inspiration to me. Christine
Smith has what it takes to lead fellow Libertarians, and to cause a
great many Americans to awake to the fundamental principles of Liberty.
Sincerely,
Joel Zingone
Martin K. Meade, Jr. - 2-23-2008
Dear Christine Smith for President Campaign,
It is an honor to officially announce to you my endorsement of Christine Smith for
the Libertarian nomination and for the office of President of the United States. As
a Republican political activist and avid Ron Paul supporter in Eastern Kentucky, I
have fought for the sake of low taxes, less government, and personal liberty on the
grassroots level for several years.
As a college graduate who will be pursuing a
master's degree from Goddard College in Vermont in the fall of 2008, I am currently
preparing myself for a possible, though highly likely, bid for the office of U.S.
Representative out of the 5th congressional district in Kentucky in the year 2012.
I feel that four years will provide an adequate amount of time to raise funds,
expand my name recognition, and campaign among Republicans because I will be
challenging the neo-conservative Congressman Harold "Hal" Rogers directly in the
Republican primary. I would appreciate your endoresement when the time comes, and
it gives me great pleasure to know that I have finally found a potential candidate
who truly stands for the truly fundamental basis of our existence - freedom in its
purest form.
I wholeheartedly support Christine Smith in her campaign for the
Presidency, both with this endorsement and with future monetary donations and any
personal activities the candidate wishes me to accompany her in. I also pledge
that, in the event Mrs. Smith gains the Libertarian party's nomination, I will
campaign for her throughout the state of Kentucky to the greatest extent that I
possibly can in coordination with the Libertarian Party of Kentucky if possible.
Sincerely,
Martin K. Meade, Jr.
Michelle Giansante - 02-02-2008
I recently discovered Christine Smith's campaign on the Project Vote-
Smart website. After looking at many other candidates who had my
support on some issues but not on other major issues, it is such a
pleasure to see a candidate that I agree with on all_issues. It is
so refreshing to find a presidential candidate who is wholly dedicated
to bringing our country back to the original Constitutional
foundations of freedom and liberty. I wholeheartedly support Christine Smith for President.

Christine Smith, Tireless Advocate of Liberty - I have been following Christine’s Presidential Campaign with great interest…I subscribe to her e mailings
and look forward to them on a regular basis…I understand her frustrations with the Libertarian Party,
yet she shows the leadership qualities needed to continue the fight for freedom and spread the message
of Freedom…She is a hero of mine…we need more Christine Smiths!
Gilberto Heredia, MD Chairman, Libertarian Party of Otero County
Adam Cohen - 01-13-2008
Christine Smith demonstrates a solid and sincere
desire to restore liberty in the United States, and is
a crusader for truth on all fronts, even within the
Libertarian party. Her positions on immigration are
especially to be commended and are more consistent
with the ideals of liberty than those of other
libertarian leaning candidates. As someone who has
repeatedly demonstrated a passion for true freedom
during her campaign, Christine has my utmost support in
her candidacy for president.

I support Christine Smith to be the Libertarian Party nominee for President of the United States.
Christine is an articulate and seemingly tireless advocate of Liberty. Her enthusiasm and energy are
contagious. The Party and Nation need people like her spreading the message of freedom. The Party
especially needs the leadership she can provide to get back on the message of principles. Not only do
I hope she succeeds in gaining the nomination but that she is also able to help bring the party back into
focus on the core principles.

Why I support Christine Smith for President.
I jumped on the Ron Paul bandwagon a while ago, before it became 'fashionable'. I liked most of what I heard,
but there were a few issues that, well, he's just to 'standard GOP' for me, like Abortion, Civil unions, etc.
So for a while I was half heartedly supporting Paul, but still looking to keep my options open. Glad I did.
I've been a registered Libertarian since 1992. I will not change my party affiliation for anyone or any candidate.
I am proud to call my self a Libertarian, and I have raised my children to think as such (my 18 yr old just
registered as one, I'm so proud!) I tried to find who was running under our ticket, and I did. I looked over
all the candidates carefully before I decided.
We've got a College physics professor, an odds maker out of Vegas, and someone who carries two foreign titles,
plus a few others. Neither of those candidates sat well with me. I found out about Ms Smith when I got an email
about the up coming Heartland Conference in KCMO. I did the research and was blown away by this woman. I've
voted for Libertarians based only on party, and regretted it later once I learned more about them. Ms Smith
is the first Libertarian candidate since Andre Marrou that I have been able to joyfully and enthusiastically
support 100%.
My great-grandma used to tell me that 'A pretty girl who is smart can rule the world.' Ms Smith has the
looks, don't get me wrong. But that's only the start. She's brilliant! I love her blog. I love the guts
that she has to call a 'spade a spade' when it comes to the CIA, FBI, all of the gov't 'alphabet soup'.
She does not mince words when she writes or speaks. She says what she means and means what she says.
Ms Smith, IMHO, is exactly what this country needs.
The only way I will vote for Dr Paul now is if he wises up and chooses Ms Smith as his VP candidate
(if she doesn't get the Libertarian nomination). If not, she's going to be my write-in ballot for this
election. It's not throwing my vote away, I'm voting my conscience. I'm voting for Christine Smith for President.
Thank you, 'Madame President', for giving me the chance to write this for you. Next stop, WHITE HOUSE!!!!

Why Christine Smith as the LP’s Next Presidential Candidate?
Currently the Libertarian Party (LP) is trying to select one individual out of a dozen or so as our 2008
presidential candidate. In this we are going through a process no different from any other American
political party. I support Christine Smith as that next candidate, and the reasons I do are really quite
simple.
But first, why a Libertarian? As we all know our freedoms have been eroding for some time. Under the current
administration that erosion as escalated to a level better described as controlled demolition! The Democratic
Party has had more than enough time to redress this balance if they were really interested in countering the
big-government approach of the GOP. Their track record, though, demonstrates that this is not the case.
Democrats and Republicans are both pursuing an increasingly larger and more intrusive means of controlling
the liberty-loving American masses. Their only disagreement is in where the controls ought to be emphasized.
It is time we take our liberties back, returning this country to what our founding fathers intended it to be.
We cannot accomplish this by electing more Democrats and Republicans.
Of the minority parties many are too extreme to be taken seriously. Of those that are not so extreme there
are even more that would support big government. There are a few that do support liberty, but most are too
small to be effective. The exception is the Libertarian Party which can and does get people into office with
a track record of successfully restoring the liberties of American citizens.
The vast majority of the cities and states that have elected Libertarians to public offices have been those
completely fed up with the results they have had in the past through 'big government' officeholders. The LP
has advertised itself as offering an alternative—a statesman in lieu of a politician—geared toward Americans
who are just plain sick of being held under the boot of big government.
... Which leads me to my support of Christine Smith.
Looking through the current offering of would-be LP representatives I found that all of them have a zeal
for promoting liberty. As a matter-of-fact, if their stances aren't the same on the various issues they're
all pretty close. Some have better track-records than others as far as governmental experience goes and
other 'qualifying' traits that one might consider, and in this way many of them are more-or-less comparable.
There have been a few that made statements that immediately swayed me one way or the other, as would be
expected when making these kinds of comparisons. But there are two key factors that really made me recognize
Christine Smith above the others.
The first is in understanding how Americans vote. According to an Associated Press report:
'For all the policy blueprints churned out by presidential campaigns, there
is this indisputable fact: People care less about issues than they do about a candidate's character.
A new Associated Press-Ipsos poll says 55 percent of those surveyed
consider honesty, integrity and other values of character the most important qualities they look for in a
presidential candidate.
Just one-third look first to candidates' stances on issues; even fewer focus foremost on leadership traits, experience or intelligence.'
Does Christine Smith understand what AP says and build her campaign around this principle? Or is she just
naturally the kind of person who projects integrity, idealistic passion, and dedication? I don't know—but
I do know that these are the qualities that exude from everything that she does! The LP promises a caring
statesman in place of the greedy and corrupt politicians we've become used to. How can we promise this to
voters unless we can support a candidate that 'feels' different to the average American? Christine Smith
radiates 'personable'; she is more of a friend to her supporters than an opportunist seeking to win a
popularity contest. One can see this, for example, in the fact that she is as proud of her political
website as she is of her personal one. We can sense it in her Christmas Message and the accompanying photos.
It is even apparent in her campaign page on MySpace! A big part of selling the LP to Americans outside
of the party is in offering a candidate who can garner their trust as well as representing their ideals,
and I believe that Christine Smith can do just that.
The second reason I support the Smith campaign may seem like an odd one—but here me out. In a public
statement during her own campaign Christine Smith said, 'I, as an individual am committed to advancing
liberty in our nation, thus I am and will do everything I can to help the campaign of Ron Paul.' What?!?
While running for president she states that she supports someone else? Someone running under a different
party ticket no less? Exactly! Christine Smith is more concerned with the reestablishment of liberty for
you and me than she is with winning the contest and gratifying her ego. This, my friends, is an example
of a true statesman and a worthy replacement for our current politician.
I urge every American—whether Libertarian or not—to consider what you would like to see happen in the
next election. Consider your stances on issues as well as the individual you think you can trust over
the next 4 years and beyond (because that legacy does not die when a president leaves office). While
thinking about these things that are so vitally important to our future and the future of our children
look at what a statesman Christine Smith has to offer. No one candidate can turn this country back to
what our founding fathers originally intended. But I believe that Christine Smith can give us an awfully
good start!

I'm Retired Navy, & one of the main reasons I made the Navy a Career was to do My
Part to Guarantee the Rights & Freedoms I grew up with. However, ever since I
Retired in 1976, most of those Rights & Freedoms have been taken away from us.
Christine Smith is one of the only two Candidates who truly want to Restore this
Country's Rights & Freedoms. The other Candidate is Ron Paul. I'm a Libertarian, but
I support both Candidates equally, as much as I am able to at this time. We need to
get Our Country back from this Corrupt Government, and these two Candidates are the
only ones who truly want do that.

Endorsement from Walt Thiessen, founder and webmaster of Nolan Chart LLC:
I am pleased and honored to give my endorsement to Christine Smith for the Libertarian nomination for President
of the United States. The values that Christine holds and honors mirror my own in so many ways. That's why making
the decision to publicly make this endorsement is one of the easiest things I've ever done.
As a Ron Paul supporter, I fervently hope that he gets the Republican nomination in 2008, but what if he doesn't?
He has made it clear that he will not seek a third party nomination. If that happens, we need someone willing
to take up the cause of Liberty. The difficulty is that such a candidacy has to emerge now, while Dr. Paul's
campaign is still progressing.
That's why I urge everyone who has given to Dr. Paul's campaign to also give to Christine Smith's campaign.
Even if you can't give the same amount of money to both campaigns, give what you can, even if it's less. It
costs money to travel around the country and build support toward a nomination (even the Libertarian Party
nomination), and Christine Smith needs money right now so she can still be a viable candidate later on. She
is being invited to speak at events around the country right now, but campaign finances are forcing her to
turn some of them down. What a tragedy! It shouldn't happen, but it is happening nonetheless. Your donation
will help her get through this most difficult time so she can be ready to take up the mantle of Liberty
leadership if Dr. Paul's campaign doesn't lead to the Republican nomination.
You can be assured that Christine has the energy, the spirit, the knowledge, and the desire to this very
difficult job of campaigning. All she lacks is the funds. Won't you help?

Formal statement of endorsement from Joseph Knight, Libertarian activist, former Chair of the Libertarian Party of
New Mexico, planner of the 2007 New Mexico LP Convention/debate which was held April 13-15:
It's unusual for me to endorse a candidate for the LP presidential nomination, especially this early. But these are
unusual times.
No endorsement is cast in stone forever and campaign developments or entry into the race by persons yet unknown
may lead me to reassess at some future time but for now, I have decided to endorse Christine Smith.
Since our candidate is unlikely to actually win the presidency, the question becomes one of just what the nominee
will do for the Party. I believe Smith will appeal to a wide range of voters and create interest in the LP.
My decision is based not on faults I find in other candidates but on what Smith has to offer. Quite frankly,
she will bring to the Party four things we need considerably more of:
(1) Articulate, principle-based short answers that will appeal to Joe Six Pack, Suzy Homemaker, and Cathy Coed;
(2) Passionate enthusiasm;
(3) Youth; and
(4) Gender F.
Smith deserves our nomination because she has the potential to be a real party builder and broaden our base
of support without sacrificing our principles. Go Christine!
Joseph Knight
